Press release: The impacts on civilian areas, and casualties caused by Thailand’s aggression on Cambodia’s sovereign territory from 1:00pm until 6:00pm, 12 December 2025
On 12 December 2025, the Ministry of Interior issued a press release on the impacts on Cambodian civilians and civilian areas caused by Thai aggression, covering the period from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM on that day. The Ministry confirmed that the Thai aggression, which recommenced on 7 December, has caused severe impacts, including a total of 11 civilians killed and 59 injured (as of 6:00 PM). The total number of displaced people in six provinces has increased to 98,598 families, or 331,158 individuals. Numerous civilian infrastructures, including homes, schools, pagodas, and ancient temples, continue to sustain damage, and essential public services have been almost entirely suspended due to intensified Thai attacks.
